On October 29, 2024, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, former President of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF and a FIFA Council member, will deliver a distinguished lecture at the University of Ibadan on the urgent need for improved sports infrastructure and maintenance in Nigeria. This lecture, titled The Challenges of Sports Infrastructure and Maintenance in Nigeria: Prospects for Podium Performance, is part of the university's Faculty of Education’s Personality Guest Lecture series and will be held at Trenchard Hall at 11 a.m.
